~We've all been lost for most of this life~ -Lost by Avenged Sevenfold
For some reason, when I look at this photo that lyric pops into my head xD
I also seem to have a theme going with these photoshoot titles xD One or two words at most; leaves them open to interpretation I find.
I don't know the character Beat very well, in fact I don't know him at all... but because I know extremely well, I find this suits him. The general feel of it seems... thoughtful, almost in a philosophical way. He may be the ultimate judge of that, but that's my opinion ^^
I'm amazed that I didn't have to do anything with the sky, no burning, dodging, no nothing. Like much of this roll, all that was needed was a split filter to bring out contrast in the sky and grass while keeping the detail in the grays.
Everything in this photo just came together and, miraculously, almost everything is in focus despite the depth of the shot. I'm very happy with this one ^_^
~~~ A little note: This is NOT a photo that's just been desaturated or made to look black and white. This is an authentic black and white photo, taken on black and white film with a completely manual (old school) camera. The film was developed completely by hand (by me). The photo was manually printed using manual enlargers in a dark room. ~~~
